Meet Our Evangelist :
Thomas Muller was born in Lakewood, New Jersey, the fifth of ten children. He
was raised in the Roman Catholic tradition, and attended Lakewood High School,
where his favorite subjects were gym and lunch! He loved the physical
demands of sports and wrestled competitively. Oddly, he did not enjoy
reading; nor was he active or even very interested in church as a youth.
At age 21, while working following his high school graduation, a lady asked
if he read his Bible (he lied and told her yes). His interest was piqued,
and he bought a protestant Bible and started reading the book of Matthew. When
a high school friend invited him to church, Tom went, and was baptized and added
to the Lord’s church on April 7, 1979. In September that same year, he
began attending Bible study classes at the Northeast School of Biblical Studies. He
continues to this day actively studying and teaching God’s Word at every
opportunity. He eventually attended Georgian Court University, and graduated in
1993 with a degree in accounting.
He met his wife, Sue, at a Bible study and they were married in February of
1986. They have two children, Scott and Julie. Tom was working on his
Masters degree when the members of Freehold Church of Christ asked him to assume
the responsibility of preaching. He chose to serve the Lord. Tom has a
deep love of God’s Word and a wonderful ability to share his love and
knowledge in a way that holds the attention of even the teens in the
congregation. He invites you to contact him directly for more information
about ongoing programs at Freehold Church of Christ.
